We are having our 10th year anniversary of Vietnam Art House (VAH) this summer at our gallery in The Hague. The theme of this event is ‘Southern Soul’. We are focusing on the art solo-exhibition of acclaimed artist Nguyen Thanh Binh.

Mr. Nyi Nyi Htwe, the Regional Sales Manager of (Southeast Asia) OPRA Turbines

Thank you very much for your kind support to OPRA with the Oil & Gas Vietnam exhibitions. With AETIN, OPRA took part in three trade missions and two exhibitions. Several meetings during the trade missions were with top level executives from the customer sides and I have to admit that it would be quite challenging to arrange as an individual company without AETIN. In my opinion, the number and quality of the visitors who stopped by at the AETIN pavilion were also better during the exhibitions. So AETIN has indeed organized very good trade missions and exhibitions. I also made about separate visits to Vietnam on specific purpose for a particular customer or meeting for a specific project. A number of local contacts and project leads were developed from participating AETIN’s activities. I can say that AETIN helps member companies for them to achieve certain development in Vietnam market. Of course the member companies gained benefit differently from AETIN’s support activities depending on the nature of their business and product fit to Vietnam market…

I returned to Holland just last weekend and now am working on the follow up of all the meetings I have had the past few weeks. Before I left to Vietnam I considered my trip successful if I could get 3 contacts from the meetings, which would give me leads to further exploring. My expectation was exceeded far more than that. As I arrived in Vietnam, not speaking the language, jet-lagged and strongly aware of the cultural differences, I knew I needed to depend on VCT’s translators and supporting services to help me get through. The week was overwhelming. I spoke to commercial parties, governmental parties and financing agencies, all interested and willing to cooperate. I returned home with approximately 20 contacts to follow up, in two different districts (Hanoi and HCMC). Overwhelmed by the opportunities at hand in the (emerging) markets of Vietnam, I am convinced that it is indeed the market to enter and that the economic mission was indeed the best way to get introduced. Participating increased my chances of success and now, it is up to me. Thank you, VCT!
