PM proposes stronger Vietnam-Netherlands friendship
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on March 24 met with W.H. (Prim) Schuurman, Vietnam’s honorary consular general to the Netherlands on the sidelines of the 3rd Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague.
Dung spoke highly of Schuurman’s contributions to friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, especially in trade and investment.
He suggested the honorary consular cooperate closely with the Vietnamese Embassy and other Vietnamese counterparts in the Netherlands to increase bilateral trade and rank the Netherlands in the top three trade partners of Vietnam in the European Union (EU).
Schuurman, who is also chairman of the Netherlands-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, expressed his pleasure at the growing trade and investment ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
He affirmed that the Netherlands-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and himself will try their best to boost multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
